2 job interviews!

I've got 2 job interviews coming up, both at the same place. It's at Claire's Accessories Head Office in Birmingham. Both are Administrator jobs but in different departments, one is Payroll and the other is Merchandising.

I had 3 phone calls from them this week, one on Monday asking me about my salary expectations, yesterday it was about a interview for the job in their Payroll department and today they again called me to invite me for another interview.

Both interviews are at 12pm, I chose the times, hehe but they're obviously on separate days:

14th February - Merchandising dept.
21st February - Payroll dept... I gotta do a short test, I hope it isn't Maths 'cos it's not my best subject.

Job Centre... Part 2

Well I went to the job centre today and they said they don't cover the postcode that I live in so I've gotta go to another job centre who does cover my postcode which is a pain in the arse! *lol*

So I might go there tomorrow or Monday 'cos I need to get this sorted out! I also gotta find the Job Centre I need to go to, I think I know where it is...

I'm gonna be popping in there tomorrow to talk to someone about claiming Jobseekers Allowance again 'cos I need some money going into my bank, even though it's not much.

I'm kinda dreading it but I'm not really 'cos last time after 6 months of not finding a job, they referred me to Pertemps & after 3 months being there, I started a Business Admin course at college which I hated so much. It wasn't a proper course, well wasn't in my eyes. I would go there on a Monday, do some I.T work in the morning which was kinda easy for me 'cos I've already got a qualification in it and in the afternoon, we do some work on Admin. It wasn't really work, just the teacher chatting while we took notes, yawnnnn!

On the Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays I had a work placement which than went into full time employment, the place I got made redundant from :( and on the Wednesdays, we had to do job search & some rubbish lesson in the afternoon called "Personal Development".

So I'm hoping I will get a job before the 6 months is up as I don't want to go back to that.... Maybe the Job Centre has changed the rules, I dunno.

I'm decided to come on net early as I'm going out this afternoon to see my friend to exchange christmas presents, but I'm totally bored on here! *lol* I haven't seen her since her brother's 18th birthday party in August.

Well in my last entry, I said I had an job interview which I went to. I thought it went alright, messed up on a couple of questions and I got taken on a tour of the place. I also took my Record of Achievement book with me which the guy seemed to be impressed with. They said they would let me know on the Friday or the Monday, well guess what? I didn't hear a thing till last Friday and I received a letter to say I hadn't got it.

One of my zebra finches died in their sleep last night :(

She hasn't been right for weeks, she was always sleeping and last night she wouldn't go on the perch so we left her at the bottom of the cage.

So I uncovered the cage this morning and found her dead so I've covered her up in kitchen towel and left her for my brother to deal with when he gets in from work.

We are gonna get another one to replace her as we also have a male one called Sid, hope that he takes to a new bird as Sid & Nancy were brother & sister.

Sorry for the morbid news, I was in tears this morning...

YAYYYYYYYYY! I got tickets to see Westlife, 5th row! :D I can't believe it, never been that close to them for a tour so I'm well chuffed!

Also Play.com are processing my order of the No.1's Tour DVD so it should be on it's way by Monday or before then!

Ticket Buying...

I forgot to say in last night's entry that I brought sranding tickets to see Kaiser Chiefs next April at the Birmingham NIA. I've never been there before so I hope it's good.

Westlife are touring next year and the pre-sale tickets go on sale 2moro as you may know if you're a Westlife fan, lol! I didn't get to see them last year as I didn't have anyone to go with and they only did 2 dates in Brum when they normally do about 5 or 6! So I hope to get tickets near the stage for next year's tour, I'm in love with their new album, can't stop listening to it. I've also pre-ordered the No.1's Tour DVD so I'm looking forward to getting it....

In other news, I got my hair cut, not much off & cost me £7.95! Also I need to pay the petty cash back to work but I can't find my cheque book! Can only find 2 paying in books! *weird* Dunno what to do.......

It's driving me crazy...

I can't stop thinking about Kevin. Remember that guy from work I told you about ages ago.

I really want to tell him my feelings but I'm too shy and scared about his reaction and he might reject me 'cos I'm maybe not his type of woman. We really get on so well but I dunno what to do.....

It was my last day at work on Friday, went out to lunch & I had steak & chips, it was nice but I was a bit of slow eater & everyone had finished before me, I hate it when that happens.

We got back to the office at 2pm, done some work and told Sham how to do things while she took notes. About 4ish, I got given a card with some really nice messages especially Kevin's, lol! and I was also given a really nice bracelet, here it is....

Hey guys!

Still upset from the news I told you about but I'm coping. I've started to look for another job, there was a couple I spotted in the local paper last week & one online which I'm applying to.

It's another Admin Assistant job but this time it's at a school with more money & only work in term time which is a bonus! Just think I would get half term, xmas, easter & 6 weeks summer holidays off, how cool is that?!

I e-mailed everyone at work on Monday, got like 10 replies wishing me luck & I will be missed which is nice. I'm gonna miss this place so much, they have gave me so much confidence since I started there as a Work Experience girl to a working girl.

I texted Lucy the other day to let her the news & she had heard from Annabel. She replied to say that we should keep in touch, etc. I texted her back again tonight & I said I will. She replied again saying we should meet up soon & she will give me a bell.

Hope that's soon & I will get to see Martha again :D

Found out today I'm going to made redundant & my last day of work is next Friday. I can't believe it, I've known for like 2 weeks or so.

My Regional Director told me that Linda & Jessica had done a report about the Awards Administrator role and it was said that the Bradford office needs a General Office Assistant as it was too much for Wendy to do. He said that he would try & see if he can got any resources to employ someone to help out in the Bradford office & if he couldn't, then my job would be moved up to Bradford. He asked me if I would like to move to Bradford & I said no. I didn't want to leave my family and move away to strange surroundings & be alone.

I'm suppose to go to Sheffield tomorrow to help with an Awards Conference but I'm not bothering with going as Kevin said I don't need to go so I'm not. I'm staying at home & saying I'm ill.

Every day since Sham went on holiday to India, I've been feeling tired every day from work. It's 'cos I'm doing two people's jobs at the same time & it's knackering!
